– Commissioner Ehlinger of Minnesota Department of Health – addressing the big picture between transportation and

personal, community and environmental health

9:35 – 9:45 am – Questions/announcements

10-11 am –Breakout sessions on selected healthy transportation issues:

– You and the St. Paul Bike Plan

– Ask a Staff Person – Q & A with a panel of government staff working on transportation issues

– Telling Our Transportation Stories

– Money, Money, Money!  Understanding the City’s Funding Process

– Valuing Community Members

11:15 am – 12:15 pm – Breakout sessions on selected healthy transportation tools:

– Communications for Impact in Small Nonprofits

– Racial Equity in Transit Decision Making

– Accessible Transportation, Including Walkability – Why It’s Important

– From Vision to Plan to Project

– Organizing Friendly Streets and Better Blocks

12:15 – 1:00 pm – Buffet/box lunch and opportunity to browse transportation resource exhibits

1:15 – 3:15 – Breakout sessions on healthy transportation processes:

– Advocacy Training, with Grassroots Solutions

– Using the Equitable Development Scorecard

– Participate in a Walkability/Accessible Survey

3:30 – 3:50 pm – Closing keynote speaker

– Commissioner Zelle, Minnesota Department of Transportation – addressing political implications/long term goals of

healthy transportation

3:50 – 4:00 pm – Next steps/follow-up/adjourn
